2001 through 2003

December, 2003 - CTB Systems, LLC of Cherry Hill, New Jersey donated 11 computers to Computer Generations. These computers will be used to instruct senior citizens.

December, 2003 - Thirty-five Collingswood senior citizens completed beginning and intermediate computer courses at the Collingswood Senior Community Center. Partial funding was provided by the Collingswood Municipal Alliance.

November, 2003 - Twenty-two students completed Computer 101, Computer 102 and Internet 301 courses at the Mabel Kay House in Haddonfield.

October, 2003 - Senior computer student, Charlotte Johnson, was awarded first prize in the Nonprofessional Computer Art Category in the 2003 New Jersey Senior Citizen Juried Art Contest and Competition in Flemington New Jersey. Charlotte created her computer art entry using Paint. She was first introduced to this art program when she took Computer Generations Computer 101 course at the Mabel Kay House.

May, 2003 - Computer Generations instructors began teaching Internet 301 to Haddonfield seniors. Hi-speed Internet access through Comcast is available through a grant from the Haddonfield Foundation. The Haddonfield Civic Association and the Haddonfield Social League provided partial funding for the courses. Keystone Mercy Health Plan of Pennsylvania donated the computers.

April, 2003 - Twenty Collingswood senior citizens began taking Computer 101 at the Collingswood Senior Community Center. The Collingswood Municipal Alliance provided partial funding for these classes and Keystone Mercy Health Plan of Pennsylvania donated the computers.

March, 2003 - Computer Generations Trustee Barbara Raphael of Raphael Webscapes was honored by Mayor Tish Colombi and the Borough of Haddonfield for her professional accomplishments as part of an annual Women's History Month ceremony.

November, 2002 - Intellitools, Inc.of California donated 10 Intellikeys keyboards and overlays that will be used for training students with special needs.

October, 2002 - Haddonfield senior computer students enjoyed using the Natural Keyboards and Intellimice that were donated by Microsoft.

October, 2002 - Holman Automotive made a generous donation to Computer Generations that will be used for senior citizen instruction.


November, 2002 - Keystone Mercy Health Plan and its employees once again donated 11 computers for use in our senior citizen courses. Computer Generations acknowledges the efforts of Robert Rothenberger of KMHP in coordinating the computer hardware donation. Keystone Mercy Health Plan endeavors to promote health and education in the community they serve.

This just in!-Computer Generations has just received a donation from Microsoft of software valued at $70,688.50. They also received a contribution of $3000.00 from the Community Affairs Department to be used to educate senior citizens and children with special needs.

Computer Generations appreciates the generosity of Debra and Steven Moorer who donated the membership fee to join COSAC (The New Jersey Center for Outreach and Services for the Autism Community, Inc.)

Computer Generations instructors taught 40 Haddonfield Senior Citizens beginning Thursday, September 26 at the Mabel Kay House. Four 6-week courses were offered introducing basic computer skills and more advanced word processing skills. Partial funding for these courses was provided by a donation from the Community Affairs Department of Microsoft.

Red Kimono Day is a celebration to honor the esteemed senior citizens of Haddonfield. A series of informative programs were offered at the Haddonfield Middle School on Saturday, May 4. A Computer Generations instructor was there to teach the senior citizens beginner computer skills as well as more advanced skills using the Internet.

Debra Moorer, President of Computer Generations, gave a presentation on Monday, May 20 at the duPont Hospital for Children conference "Facilitating Language Through Assistive Technology: From Conversation to Literacy."

Computer Generations is providing support for special education at Haddonfield Memorial High School in Haddonfield, NJ.

September 2001-The Haddonfield Foundation awarded Computer Generations a grant of $2800 to help fund computer instruction for Haddonfield senior citizens.
